DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Tyler Knight (LB, Sioux Falls Storm)

After faltering for the first time this season in Week 11, the Sioux Falls Storm came back in Week 12 and derailed the Spokane Empire 62-32 in a rematch of the 2016 United Bowl. Two-Time IFL Defensive Player of the Year Tyler Knight made his presence known throughout the game and helped put the game out of reach late in the fourth quarter. Midway through the fourth quarter, Knight stepped in front of Empire QB Charles Dowdell's pass and returned it five yards for a touchdown. The interception return essentially secured the game for Sioux Falls as it gave the team a 30 point lead with seven minutes remaining Knight made plays all over the field finishing his night with 10 tackles, 1.5 sacks and the interception return for a touchdown. Knight ranks fourth in the IFL in tackles with 88. Sioux Falls heads to the frozen tundra to face the Green Bay Blizzard in Week 13.
