Green Bay, WI — The Green Bay Blizzard (5-11) ended their 2016 with the worst defensive effort in franchise history, giving up nearly 100 points in a 98-75 loss to the Wichita Falls Nighthawks (11-5).
Wichita Falls quarterback Charles McCullum threw for 321 yards and an IFL single game record 11 touchdowns in the win. Blizzard QB Matt Behrendt did well through the air, completing 14-28 of his passes for 263 yards and 8 TDs, but it wasn't enough to overcome the offensive explosion from the Nighthawks.
Green Bay finished 4-6 in their last ten games. The Nighthawks finish the regular season with an 11-5 record and head into the playoffs having set a season-high in scoring. By finishing with the third-best record in the IFL's United Conference, the Nighthawks will go on the road and face Cedar Rapids on July 9 at 7:05 p.m.
