Blizzard Announce Pair of Open Tryouts

The Green Bay Blizzard will hold two open player tryouts looking to finalize the 2017 training camp roster. In an attempt to get talent from all over the Nation and make it easier for more players to attend a professional football tryout the Blizzard will be hosting a Northern and Southern tryout.

  • Southern Region Tryout- Sunday January 22, 2017 (Mobile, Alabama area)
  • Northern Region Tryout- Saturday January 28, 2017 (Green Bay, Wisconsin)

The Southern Region Tryout will be on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Theodore High School, located at 6201 Swedetown Rd N, Theodore, AL 36582. Registration will open at 10:00am. Locally, the Blizzard will hold a Northern Regional Tryout on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Synergy Sports Performance, located at 807 Parkview Rd, Green Bay, WI 54304. Registration will open from 9:00am. Blizzard Head Coach Chris Williams and staff will be on hand at both tryouts to evaluate players in attendance.

Participants will be tested in the 40-yard dash and short shuttle, with position-specific drills to follow. Players must be prepared upon arrival with appropriate workout gear and cleats/footwear. The tryouts are non-contact and pads/helmet will not be necessary. All other positions (including kicker) will be evaluated. No prior football experience is required.

All participants can pre-register online for either tryout at a discounted rate of $25. The pre-registration deadline for the Alabama tryout is January 18, 2017 and January 25, 2017 for the Green Bay Tryout. The cost of the tryout will increase to $30 on the day of the event and only cash will be accepted.
