The Indoor Football League (IFL) is proud to announce the Vidswap.com Players of the Week for Week 4 of the 2017 IFL season.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Trevor Kennedy (RB, Spokane Empire)
The Spokane Empire jumped to huge early lead against the Salt Lake Screaming Eagles only to see it almost dissipate in the final minutes. The defending Intense Conference Champions however held on to defeat the Screaming Eagles 41-35 in Week 4 action. RB Trevor Kennedy, who led the IFL in touchdowns last season, helped the Empire build their strong early lead. Kennedy added an explosivenees to the Empire's offense as he topped 100 yards rushing and added three rushing touchdowns. Kennedy finished his night rushing for 101 yards on 13 carries, an impressive 7.8 yards per carry average.Kennedy is quickly returning to his last season form and has scored five total touchdowns in the last two weeks. After playing the Screaming Eagles on Monday night, the Empire have a short week in Week 5 as they travel to face the Colorado Crush on Friday.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Javicz Jones (LB, Iowa Barnstormers)
After defeating the Green Bay Blizzard 49-30 in Week 4, the Iowa Barnstormers are off to a 2-1 start and sport one of the top offenses in the IFL. However, it was the defense that came up big against the Blizzard. Veteran LB Javicz Jones 'dominating performance helped shut down a potent Green Bay offense. Late in the second quarter as the Blizzard were looking to potentially tie the game, Jones jumped in front of Blizzard QB Matt Behrendt's pass and returned it 38 yards to give the Barnstormers a 13 point lead going into the locker room. Jones finished the game tied for the team lead with eight tackles, had 1.5 tackles for loss, and an interception return for a touchdown. Iowa travels to face the Sioux Falls Storm in Week 5 action on Monday, March 20.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jamal Miles (KR, Arizona Rattlers)
The Arizona Rattlers earned their first-ever IFL victory after defeating the Colorado Crush 71-27 in Week 4. The Rattlers offense exploded for 71 points, the second-most in the IFL this season. Arizona pulled off a rare scoring trifecta as they scored on offense, defense and special teams during the game. KR Jamal Miles put the proverbial icing on the cake for the Rattler' victory as he returned a Crush kickoff 49 yards for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter. Miles also added three rushes for 35 yards and a touchdown earlier in the game. The Rattlers enjoy a bye week in Week 5 before traveling to Green Bay on March 26.
