Green Bay, WI- The Green Bay Blizzard have announced that the team has re-signed Defensive Back Zach Richardson.
A graduate of Henderson State University, Richardson (6'1" 208) appeared in three games and accounted for nine total tackles for the Blizzard in 2017 before missing 13 games due to injury.
"Zach is the type of player and person that we are trying to build the program around. He went tomini-camp with the Detroit Lions out of college and came up to Green Bay for a private workout with the Packers before we got him…the talent is definitely there. Now we just need him to be healthy so he can help us. He missed 13 games last year with a broken hand and torn hamstring. He decided to live here in Green Bay for the off-season and train. So far he looks on track to do well," stated Blizzard Head Coach Chris Williams.
"I'm excited about any opportunity to play professional ball," said Richiardson. "Even being at this level is not something everyone gets to do. I have a goal of getting to the highest level of football but right now, I want to make the most of this opportunity to help my teammates, my coaches and the organization reach the goals that we have set for 2018."
