Green Bay, WI- The Green Bay Blizzard have announced that they have signed form University of Army cornerback Josh Jenkins
In his last full season at Army, Jenkins (6'1,195) had 94 tackles, 6 interceptions, 14 pass break-ups and 2 blocked punts.
"This is a really good football player. He's got true and natural cover skills as a DB…he's long and rangy, he's a sure tackler and most importantly he can run. He was very productive at Army," stated Blizzard Head Coach Chris Williams.
"I'm excited to be part of a growing league in the IFL and an organization like the Green Bay Blizzard," said Jenkins. "There is no such thing as a moral victory in football and I plan on contributing to victories. I will bring a winner's mindset while also ushering in a winning culture to a budding franchise in Titletown. I have faced many hurdles along the way, but I continue to move forward. Hopefully with the opportunity granted to me by the Blizzard, I will be able to continue my career into the NFL. I can't wait to get to work and be a member of the Green Bay Blizzard."
Jenkins is a native of Concord, Ca and played his high school football at the famed De La Salle High School.
