The Green Bay Blizzard have announced the signing of Serge Trezy of the University of Wisconsin.
Trezy (6'2,200) signed with the University of Wisconsin after a standout junior college career as a running back at Eastern Arizona College. During his 2013 season at Eastern Arizona, he rushed for 814 yards and six touchdowns to earn first-team all-Western States Football League honors. After trnsferring to Wisconsin, Trezy shuffed back and forth between the running back position and defensive back.
Even after having issues finding a permanent position home, Trezy showed enough elite athleticism to get an opportunity in camp with the Chicago Bears in 2017.
"We have been trying to establish a relationship with the Badgers for a while now," said Blizzard Head Coach Chris Williams."They allowed our staff to attend their pro day last year, where we first got to evaluate Serge. Their coaches were very welcoming to us. Even opening an opportunity for us to attend future home games, the spring games and other pro days. I think that if Serge does well that the relationship between the University of Wisconsin and the Blizzard will continue to grow. We're excited to have Serge join us."
