Butler Returns To Barnstormers

DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers have re-signed defensive lineman BJ Butler to the 2018 roster, Head Coach Dixie Wooten announced today.

Butler (6-3, 290, Louisville) returns to the Iowa Barnstormers for his second season with the team. Butler began his IFL career in 2016, appearing in 12 games wih the now-defunct Billings Wolves. In those 12 games, Butler collected 43 total tackles, three interceptions, and two touchdowns. Butler joined the Barnstormers for the 2017 season appearing in 15 regular season games and contributing to the team's playoff run. Butler proved his versatility throughout the season, playing as defensive lineman, offensive lineman, long snapper, and fullback. Butler finished the season with 20 total tackles, three pass break-ups, and one sack.

"Having BJ back is great for our team. He is our iron man," said Coach Wooten. "BJ will have another outstanding year with a few touchdowns to add to it."
