Bloomington, IL. – The Bloomington Edge is pleased to announce they have finalized the contract and resigned starting quarterback Caleb Holbrook for the 2018 season.
In an offseason of transition where the Edge switched leagues and hired a new head coach, the signing of Holbrook has helped ensure continuity in the organization. After back to back playoff seasons, the Edge is looking to bring a championship to Bloomington-Normal. The Edge believes Holbrook is the player to lead them there.
"I think last season I really wasn't happy with the ending result to be honest," said Holbrook. "It's pretty exciting we're in a new league this year."
Holbrook looks forward to the new challenges that await in IFL. He was one of the top quarterbacks in the CIF last year where he tied for fourth with 56 touchdowns (46 passing and 13 rushing) on the season. He is and will continue to be a great asset to the team.
When asked about his decision to resign with the Edge Holbrook stated, "Right now I have two really good jobs in Bloomington and I've always been treated great here so it was pretty easy to make that decision. I am happy to be back." The Bloomington Edge is a community first organization. We love signing players that have a passion for their community, supporting the families and businesses that support them.
The Edge is thrilled for this upcoming season and is excited to move forward with Holbrook and the rest of the Bloomington Edge family. For further inquiries about season tickets or the Edge please contact (702) 525-3868 or email Charles@bloomingtonedge.net
