DES MOINES – The Iowa Barnstormers have signed defensive back Jajuan Harley to the 2019 roster, Head Coach Dixie Wooten announced today.
Harley (6-2, 215, Middle Tennessee State) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his first year with the team. Harley brings indoor experience, having previously spent time with the now-defunct Bemidji Axemen (IFL), Cleveland Gladiators (AFL), Georgia Firebirds (NAL), and the Jacksonville Sharks (NAL).
Collegiately, Harley began his career at Florida State University where he appeared in 11 games as a freshman in 2009 and collected four total tackles. In 2010, Harley appeared in eight games and collected five total tackles. Harley transferred to Middle Tennessee State in 2011 where he had to sit out due to NCAA transfer rules. Harley returned to the field in 2012, finishing the season with 74 total tackles and one forced fumble.
In 2014, when Harley was about to begin his indoor career he was invited to the Buffalo Bills Training Camp.
"Jajuan has an incredible work ethic and understanding of the game," said Coach Wooten. "He's an all-out professional when it comes to football. He'll show up early, stay late, and go one hundred percent all day. I want Jajuan to come in, compete, show his physical nature, and earn the respect of his teammates in camp."
