Green Bay, WI – On Saturday, April 9th, the Green Bay Blizzard hosted the Frisco Fighters in an exciting game between the two teams that came down to the last second. 

The defense of both teams came out strong as there was no scoring in the first quarter. Frisco’s Justin Rankin caught an 11-yard pass from TJ Edmonds in the seventh minute of the second quarter. Green Bay was able to answer back five minutes later with a 21-yard pass from Jack Sheehan to Shaquan Curenton to tie the game at seven each. Fisco however was able to reclaim the lead with just 32 seconds left in the first half with Blake Sims running the ball 4-yards for a touchdown. That was not the end of their run for the first half as Cedric Poole was able to run the ball back 45-yards for a touchdown after Frisco blocked Green Bay’s field goal attempt. Leaving the score at half 21-7 Frisco claiming the lead. 

Green Bay closed the point gap just three and a half minutes into the second half when Keshaun Taylor caught an 11-yard pass. Frisco was quick to respond as Blake Sims scored his second touchdown of the night running the ball in 3-yards. Less than two minutes later Green Bay’s Keshaun Taylor caught a 43-yard pass for his second touchdown of the night as well. To keep the scoring roll of the third quarter going Frisco’s Justin Rankin scored his second touchdown of the night with a 3-yard run into the endzone. To finish off the third quarter Green Bay’s Dez Stewart caught a 25-yard pass from Jack Sheehan. 

Going into the fourth quarter Frisco had an eight-point lead over Green Bay. However, Nick Jaworski kicked a 28-yard field goal to bring the Blizzard within five points of Frisco. With Just 17 seconds left in the game, Keshaun Taylor scored his third touchdown of the night, giving Green Bay a one-point lead over Frisco. Just when it looked like Frisco’s winning streak was going to end, Bryce Crawford kicked an 18-yard field goal with no time left on the clock. Leaving the final score 38-36 Frisco with the win.
