BLIZZARD PREVAIL OVER KNIGHT HAWKS

For their third home game in a row the Green Bay Blizzard hosted the Vegas Knight Hawks.

Green Bay got off to a strong start when quarterback, Jack Sheehan, ran the ball 11-yards for Green Bay’s first touchdown of the night. Just three minutes later Steven Newbold caught a 22-yard pass from Jack Sheehan, making the score 14-0 in the first seven minutes of the game. To finish off the first quarter Keshaun Taylor caught a 6-yard pass, giving the Blizzard a three-touchdown lead. Three minutes into the second quarter Keshaun Taylor extended Green Bay’s lead when he caught a 3-yard pass for his second touchdown of the night. With just five seconds left in the first half, Toren Young ran the ball 1-yard. Leaving the score 34-0 at the end of the first half.

The second half is when Vegas made their comeback, with Elad Covaliu catching a 3-yard pass from Frank Brown in the third minute of the second half. That was the only scoring of the third quarter. However, in the first three minutes of the final quarter, Elad Covaliu caught a 27-yard pass for his second touchdown of the night as well. With six minutes left in the fourth quarter, Nolan Kohorst kicked a 43-yard field goal, bringing the Knight Hawks closer to the Blizzard. Finally, in the final minute of the game, Desmond Epps caught a 14-yard pass for the final touchdown of the game. Even though the Knight Hawks had a strong second half and were able to prevent the Blizzard from scoring. Green Bay was still able to come out with the win, the final score being 34-25.
