OILERS ADD RICO BROWN TO COACHING STAFF

Tulsa Oilers Football, proud member of the IFL, powered by Community Care, announced the addition of Rico Brown to the coaching staff under the role of assistant coach and player scouting.

Brown was offered an opportunity to work on the Game Day Operations Staff, for both the Seattle Seahawks (NFL) and Seattle Sea Dragons (XFL) during the 2023 season.

Prior to his most recent work, the new Oilers’ assistant joined the Wenatchee Skyhawks of the American West Football Conference in 2020 as Player Director, then promoted in 2022, to Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel. Brown was successful in getting the Skyhawks to two playoff appearances, and the Championship in 2022.

During his playing career, the former AWF coach played college football at Central Washington University, winning the NAIA Division II National Championship in 1995. The DII champion was named All-League Defensive Back and Kick Returner in 1996. After college, Brown received offers to continue to play internationally in Europe, as well in the Intense Football League.

The latest Oilers addition also volunteered on the coaching staff during the 2022 and 2023 seasons for the Annual Cancer versus Cleats All-Star Football Game, for graduating Seniors in Washington State.

Tulsa will see its second season begin in 2024.
