The Vegas Knight Hawks have announced that Head Coach and General Manager Mike Davis has signed a four-year contract extension, keeping him with the organization through the 2029 season.
Davis, the only head coach and general manager in franchise history, led the Knight Hawks to their first IFL National Championship this season, capping it off with a thrilling 64-61 victory over the Green Bay Blizzard on August 23.
In his four seasons at the helm, Davis has compiled a 35-32 overall record, including a 24-12 mark over the past two seasons. His tenure includes two playoff appearances and the 2025 IFL National Championship title.
Davis began his IFL coaching career with the Nebraska Danger (2010-2015), leading the team to three straight Conference Championships from 2013-2015. Prior to that, he coached the Omaha Beef (2005-2009) of the Arena Football League. His coaching and personnel experience also includes four seasons as Manager of Player Personnel for the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders (2016-2019) and one season as Defensive Line Coach for the Toronto Argonauts (2020).
Under Davis’ leadership, the Knight Hawks have produced eight All-IFL selections in the past two seasons, including:
-
Antonio Wimbush – 2025 Special Teams Player of the Year
-
Bryce Hampton – 2024 Defensive Rookie of the Year
-
Ja’Rome Johnson – 2024 Most Valuable Player
With this extension, Davis will continue building on the team’s success as the Knight Hawks look to defend their title and pursue more championships in the years ahead.
