The Jacksonville Sharks have re-signed defensive back John Huggins for the 2026 season.
Huggins (6’2, 210 lbs) was a standout performer for the Sharks’ defense during the 2025 campaign, emerging as one of the unit’s most productive and reliable contributors.
Last season, Huggins recorded 116 tackles along with 5.5 tackles for loss, underscoring his consistent presence throughout the Sharks’ defensive unit. He also made an impact in coverage with three interceptions and four pass breakups.
With his physicality, consistency, and proven production, Huggins returns as a key piece of the Sharks’ defensive backfield heading into the 2026 season.
