Who We Are

The Major League of Indoor Football
The Indoor Football League (IFL) is the longest continuously operating indoor football league in the United States—and the second-longest-running professional football league overall, behind only the NFL. Founded in 2009, the IFL enters its 18th consecutive season in 2026, firmly established as the major league of indoor football.

Elite Talent. Proven Path.
The IFL showcases the best players, coaches, and competition in the sport. More than 350 IFL athletes have signed with NFL or CFL teams, underscoring the league’s reputation as a launchpad for elite talent and a destination for high-level professional football.

A True National Footprint
With 14 teams across the country and operations in eight of the top 50 media markets, the IFL is the largest and most recognized indoor football league in America—offering fans a coast-to-coast connection to the game they love.

Tradition Meets Innovation
Home to legendary franchises like the Arizona Rattlers, Iowa Barnstormers, and Jacksonville Sharks, the IFL blends historic tradition with modern entertainment. Played on a 50-yard field surrounded by dasher boards, IFL football features eight players per side, high-octane offense, and nonstop excitement from kickoff to the IFL National Championship.

Leadership & Vision
The Indoor Football League is guided by a proven leadership team with more than 70 years of combined experience in indoor football operations, management, and innovation. This wealth of institutional knowledge provides a strong foundation for the league’s continued growth and stability.
Commissioner Todd Tryon brings more than two decades of experience in the sport — first as a player and team owner, then as a visionary executive. Since becoming Commissioner in 2019, Todd has led the IFL through unprecedented expansion, record-breaking viewership, and a redefined national brand presence. His leadership has elevated the league’s operational standards and strengthened partnerships across the sports and entertainment industry, positioning the IFL as the clear leader in indoor football.
