SPOKANE, WASHINGTON – The Spokane Shock today announced the signing of former Ohio State Buckeye and Carolina Panther Steve Miller. Garnering All-NAL as a defensive lineman in 2019, Miller played for Billy Back and the Carolina Cobras. He finished second in the league in tackles for loss (13.0), third in sacks (9.0), tied for the league lead in fumbles recovered (3) and finished in the top-30 for tackles (36.0).
Miller spent the 2018 season with the Columbus Lions, playing seven games and finishing with 9.5 tackles and 4.0 sacks. As a senior at Ohio State, the Canton, Ohio native was a key player on the team's 2015 National Championship team, finishing the season with 34.0 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, one sack and an interception that he returned 41 yards.
Following his career at Ohio State, Miller was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Carolina Panthers. Miller later joined the CFL and played for the Toronto Argonauts.
