THE IFL PREPARES FOR WEEK FOUR ACTION

The 2023 IFL Action continues to come fast and furious. This week the IFL will see four games get played over two days and it all begins when Tulsa visits Duke City.

The Gladiators are coming off a loss in which Quarterback Nate Davis played well and gave them a chance to win. Davis threw for 177 yards in their 60-55 loss against the undefeated Frisco Fighters. This week they’ll be looking to change their fortune against the Tulsa Oilers, who also lost to Frisco in their last time out.

Tulsa was held to just 13 points in their franchise opening contest. But newly signed quarterback, Joshua Shim, and the Oilers offense will be looking to level up with their second opportunity. Duke City, who is full of talent, won’t make that easy.

It’s an in-state battle as Tucson and Arizona square off. Arizona walks in with a 1-1 record after the Bay Area Panthers bested them in week two. With former MVP, Drew Powell, being placed on short-term IR, Jorge Reyna could be under center. Tucson is 1-0 coming of a convincing 35-16 win in San Diego behind Ramone Atkins 137 passing yards and two touchdowns.

Saturday’s action continues with San Diego taking a trip to Vegas. The Knight Hawks are looking to get back to above .500 after their loss on the road at Northern Arizona. Daquan Neal has 378 passing yards through the Knight Hawks first two games. San Diego is still searching for their first win of the season, and things won’t get any easier for them as they play Vegas and Northern Arizona over the next two weeks.

Sunday will wrap up with Iowa and Sioux Falls battling in a match of teams looking for their first win. Iowa was upset by Green Bay last week in a 44-25 loss. Iowa QB, Darius-James Peterson, went down with a season-ending injury.

Sioux Falls will be playing in just their second game of the season. They lost by two points in their season opener to Quad City. The difference was a safety that they surrendered in the second half.

Week four will feature eight of the 14 teams in the league, and the action will kickoff Saturday at 7:05 p.m. CT.  For details and where to watch, go to www.GoIFL.com.
