The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Tucson Sugar Skulls’ head coach, Hurtis Chinn as the Head Coach of the Year.
Chinn led Tucson to a 9-7 record in his first year as head coach of the franchise. The record was good enough to earn them the No. 3 seed in the West in the IFL playoffs.
Tucson boasted the second overall rushing offense in the league as they averaged 99.2 yards a game and scored 57 touchdowns on the ground. The Sugar Skulls also produced two players on the All-IFL teams with Carrington Thomas earning First Team honors and Maurice Jackson earning Second Team honors.
