IFL ANNOUNCES WEEK 19 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Big plays. Big performances. Big moments. Week 19 featured a five-touchdown outing from Jacksonville's Jimmie Robinson, a two-touchdown defensive performance from New Mexico's Gleson Sprewell, and a playoff-clinching game-winning field goal from Tulsa's Axel Perez.
The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Players of the Week for Week 19 of the 2026 season. Jacksonville Sharks running back Jimmie Robinson has been named Offensive Player of the Week, New Mexico Chupacabras defensive back Gleson Sprewell has earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, and Tulsa Oilers kicker Axel Perez has been named Special Teams Player of the Week.
Jimmie Robinson, RB, Jacksonville Sharks
Robinson delivered one of the most productive offensive performances of the season, accounting for five touchdowns in Jacksonville's Week 19 victory. The veteran running back rushed for four touchdowns on 12 carries while adding another score through the air. Robinson finished the night with 108 yards from scrimmage, hauling in five receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown to go along with his 47 rushing yards. His five-touchdown performance helped power the Sharks offense and secured his first Player of the Week honor of the season.
Gleson Sprewell, DB, New Mexico Chupacabras
Sprewell turned in a remarkable defensive performance that impacted the game in every phase. The defensive back recorded seven tackles, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble, and intercepted a pass. Even more impressively, he turned two takeaways into touchdowns, providing New Mexico with a pair of defensive scores. Sprewell's playmaking ability consistently flipped momentum and highlighted one of the top defensive performances of the 2026 season.
Axel Perez, K, Tulsa Oilers
Perez played a pivotal role in Tulsa's playoff-clinching victory, accounting for 14 points while delivering several momentum-changing kicks. The veteran kicker connected on two field goals, converted all four extra-point attempts, and added two deuces. His biggest moment came late in the game when he drilled the game-winning field goal to secure the Oilers' postseason berth. Perez's all-around performance on special teams helped Tulsa punch its ticket to the 2026 IFL Playoffs.
The 2026 regular season concludes with Week 20 action beginning Friday night. With playoff positions still being finalized across the league, every game carries significant postseason implications as teams make their final push toward the 2026 IFL Playoffs.
